uce WAN has been fascinated by innovation and design practices. For him, designis an expression of and a reflection on humanity. This attitude brought him to Paris where he earned his master’sdegree in industrial design at ENSCI – Les Ateliers. This unique opportunity broadened his horizon on design. Rather than fulfilling market needs and spurring economic growth, he urges designers to reflect on the potential impact of their actions on humanity and our environment. He is currently an assistant professor in the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on technology-mediated leisure experience that fostershuman flourishing. His research interests include experience design, design for well-being, service design, and co-design practice.
