Dr Anthony Kong is the Programme Leader of Master of Science (MSc) Multimedia and Entertainment Technology and Assistant Professor of Digital Media in the School of Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU Design). He is an academician and professional with profound knowledge and expertise in an interdisciplinary area of design, technology, and services.

Prior joining PolyU Design, he was appointed for various design education related positions in the past two decades, e.g., Associate Director, Programme Leader, and Senior Lecturer at Hong Kong Design Institute (HKDI), Course Director at Coventry University in Hong Kong, Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer at Caritas Institute of Higher Education and Caritas Bianchi College of Career (CIHE and CBCC). He has also taught at Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), Community College of City University (CCCU) and Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE).
Dr Kong received design and technology awards e.g., HKDA Global Design Awards, Hong Kong ICT Awards, IEEE International Conference Best Paper Award etc. He is now serving as a Member of Executive Committee for both Hong Kong Designers Association (HKDA) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Hong Kong Section Computer Society Chapter. He has received over 10 millions of HKD external and internal grants for research and consultancy projects, also more than 30 publications in various international journals and international conference proceedings.
