RICCI WONG

MArch (HKU) | Graduated at 2009| BA(AS)(2006), BA(Fine Art)(2002) 
Ricci is an Art-chitect - an architecture trained artist. Graduated in CUHK Fine Arts & HKU Architecture, Ricci founded the Fotanian fabrication studio in 2011 which led to the formation of LAAB in 2013, and made over 100+ public art & design projects. In 2016 Ricci left LAAB and pursued his own new career RAAW, focusing in Public art installations design & interior design. Ricci’s father was a steelsmith and he inherited the traditional skills but also modernized mindset of an architect plus artistry as an artist. His works brings joy, creatives, and playfulness to surface, while being knowledgable, pragmatic of practicality and buildability, he believes real designer know things how to build, without losing the essence of joy. His latest work includes The permanent interactive crystal chandelier art installation of size 7m x 3m in Park Yoho clubhouse & Summer Pavilion in Yoho Mall Yuen Long this year¸and an interior . They resemble his ideology of design, craziness of crafts, and unstoppable passions. Newly launched project includes R2 –Recycle & Redesign- an NGO which combines highly designed manufacturing knowhow and social minorities- aged workforce to produce good design furnitures and objects –the R2 project is now focusing in building a wood processing factory line and recycling Hong Kong Typhoon Trees to make design furnitures. 
Another speciality design of Ricci is making transformable compact home furniture and interior design service –he made a microapartment project of a 20 SqM transformed into 100 SqM usable space and was recently being featured by Hunan TV Daydayup in May and received thousands of fans from China.
