YIP CHI WING, ALAN

Alan Yip, an international renowned industrial designer. He worked for Frog Design in California USA, Philips Design Centre in Eindhoven, Holland. He founded Yip Design in 1990. He designed over 1000 products, which cover a wide range of categories. Quite a number of them achieved the million-piece sales record. Clients include: Philips, Shure, Emerson, RCA, VS Sassoon, Yale, Grundig, One for All, Nintendo, Hitachi, Akai, Sansui, Daewoo, Hyundai, Orest, Toma, Li Ning, Giormani, LifePower, Sinomax, DeRucci, M&G, AMAE, Towngas, Simpa, GP Audio… He also owns many design and invention patents. He created his ALANYIP designer brand to promote China original designs. His designs were invited to be exhibited in Holland, England, Japan, Korea and China and have been presented in many museums, books and medias worldwide.


He was awarded Red Dot Design Award, IF Design Award , German Design Council Awards , UK Chartered Society of Designer Award, USA CES Innovations Award, WIDC Top Design Company Award, Shenzhen Global Design Award, China Red Star Design Awards, China Dragon Design Award, Outstanding Chinese Artist Award, Shenzhen Outstanding Creative Person, HKSAR Chief Executive’s Commendation, HK Award for Industry, HK Outstanding Young Persons, HK Outstanding Designers Award... He serves the community as the Chairman of HK Design Trade Association, Southern University of Science & Technology Professional Lecturer, Chengdu University Visiting Professor, Sequoia HKX Capital mentor, HK Science & Technology Park Domain Expert, Members of the Copyright Tribunal, HK Museum Expert Adviser, Design Council member... He also served the community as the Chairman of the HK Designers Association, Vice Chairman of HK Design Centre, Council Member of HK Taiwan Cultural Committee, HK Convention Ambassador of HK Tourism Board, Visiting lecturer of the School of Design of HK Polytechnic University... His works had formed an international landmark for Chinese industrial design.
